Consignment Terms & Agreement :

Please be sure to clean and assess items for any damage/defects, we only accept items that are in good working condition (no broken items, please!)
Consignment Split & Pricing
- The Split: The percentage you make is based on the determined used price of the item (not original MSRP):
Under $199 = 40% of the selling price per item (or 50% as store credit)
$200 to $299 = 50% of the selling price per item
$300 and up = 60% of the selling price per item
- Pricing Authority: 231 Hand retains sole authority to set the initial price of all items based on brand, condition, and current market demand. (Typically ~30-40% off of retail value)
- Markdown Schedule: Items will be listed for a total of 90 days. Items unsold after 90 days will be marked down by 50%.
Consignor Tracking & The Portal
- Circle-Hand Account: Upon drop-off, 231 Hand will create a profile for the Consignor in our inventory system, powered by Circle-Hand.
- Live Tracking: The Consignor will receive an automated email invitation to log into their personal Consignor Client Portal. It is the Consignor’s responsibility to track their active inventory, sales history, and available balance online.
Payout Method
The Consignor can choose payout method within their online portal:
- Store Credit Bonus: Convert cleared balance to store credit instantly with an extra 10%
- Electronic Transfer: Digital payout via Venmo or PayPal
- In-Store Check: Available for pick-up anytime during store hours
Unsold Items & Consignment Term
- The Term: The total consignment period for any item is 90 days.
- Expired Inventory: It is the Consignor's sole responsibility to check their Circle-Hand Portal and pick up unsold items before day 90.
- Donation Policy: If your item hasn’t sold within the 90 day time frame you are welcome to come & pick it up or choose to donate. Proceeds from donated items will go towards chosen local outdoor non-profits and initiatives: FLOW, Grand Traverse Conservation District, Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy, NCT- Local Chapter, Boardman River Nature Center, NORTE, NNMBA, Little Traverse Conservancy, SEEDS, Crosshatch, Father Fred
Liability for Loss or Damage
231 Hand takes utmost care of all merchandise. However, items are consigned entirely at the Consignor’s own risk. 231 Hand is not liable for damage, loss, theft, fire, or vandalism to consigned goods.
